¡@¡@¡@National Taiwan University Society of Nonlinear Science (NTUNL)
¡@National
Taiwan University Society of Nonlinear Science (or Society of
Nonlinear Science, NTU) was established in 1998. It's a club in which students
from
different departments or different areas can discuss about nonlinear science and
other
related topics.
¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@ The club will arrange lectures during the semesters, which are held by club members
or invited scholars.
The concepts of chaos, bifurcation, dynamical system, strange attractor...
will be
introduced to the newly joined freshmen.
¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@
¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@NTUNL also has summer program for senior high school students. The
lectures will
¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@ focus on basic calculus techniques, principles of classical mechanics and basic ODE.
¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@ Some
topics we've discussed lately are synchronization phenomenon and
neural network.
¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@ We've been introducing Kuramoto model, coupled oscillators, scale-free
network,
¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@ small world theory and so on for last semester. This semester we will
discuss through a
more extensive range of science, even talk about science fiction works.
¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@¡@It's welcome for students do NOT majored in mathematics-related
areas
to join in !!
