NTU Guzheng Club, which was Guzheng group of NTU Chinese Orchestra before 1987, not only holds  a performance annually, but barnstorms around the country many times, and got high esteem. Because of Guzheng can be played solo, and Gucheng group has its own fund, practicing room, executives, and a different administrative system apart from Chinese Orchestra. Rather, the numebr of Guzheng group members grows up fast, and finally lead to a separation from the NTU Chinese Orchestra . 　 NTU Guzheng spares no pains passing down the ancient Chinese culture. Under the hard working of its members and the instructor Lu Zhou-Ji, Chinese Guzheng  becomes more and more popular among Taiwan . Nowadays, there are about 60 members( graduates or undergraduates of NTU) in NTU Guzheng, which all have accumulated many performing experience. Through holding activities, NTU Guzheng has strengthened the friendship of its members, as well as made realized by the folks the history and the graceful melodies of Chinese Guzheng. We hope that in the future we can have more chances to perform in the communities, let those who are unfamiliar with Guzheng get to know more about this instrument and no longer deem Guzheng as a difficult instrument to play. What's more, we hope that people learn to appreciate it and finally be in love with it!

Our club office is located in 4F Room 402 in 2nd Student Activity Center. Every semester we will greet new arrivals, hold club travel, and summer or winter training; we will have a time to inspect and learn from each other at the end of a semester, and a annual performance at the end of a school year. Our club teacher is Mrs. Wen Ruei-Fang, and  Li-Shiuan and Li-Feng teach the lesson now. With their careful instruction, even though ou haven't learned Guzheng, you can acquire it easily. We welcome you to come every now and then to practice or just for chatting. And we also have classes led by little teachers to offer nother choice. We have 21 Guzhengs, including 16-sting-Guzheng and 21-sting-Guzheng, so you won't need to worry that you have no Guzheng to learn and practice. What about coming and seeing? You will love here!

　 The Guzheng skill be enlightened by the teacher, Shiu Yan-Shiung , and then learned from teacher Lin to study the new technique and new ideas of the Guzheng . He had ever elected as the excellent youth award of the light of R.O.C. ; Have ever teached in save the country regiment GuZhen class,the Xian-Yin Guzheng school, the skill teacher of NTU Guzheng club and Jung-Shing university Guzheng club, Have ever hold personal GuZhen recitals, teachers and the students' concerts, the GuZhen benefit performances. Published the "Guzheng Art and Playing","the Lu Chau-Ji Guzheng Compositions", and theses: "a Brief Introduction of New Guzhen Skill: the Quick Finger Sequences", "the Popularity of Guzhen music","the Study of Guzhen pitches" etc. Studyed the Guzhen music for more than 20 years, include the manufacture, maintenance, improvement and compositions Creation.

◎Mrs. Wen Ruei-Fang

Graduated From The Statistics department of Jung-Shing University

　 Guzheng skill was Enlightened in teacher Lin Li-Ting, then studied the GuZhen new technique and new ideas from Mr. Lu Chau-Ji. Ever teached in Xian-Yin Guzheng school. Is the guzheng skill teacher of NTU guzheng club, Jung-Shing university guzheng club, the Ao-Di elementary school guzhen club, and the Shi-Jian elementary school guzheng club.

　 In 1985 and 1987, performanced in the "Xian Yin Ya Yi Guzhen concert"; In 1981 and 1995, joined in the Lu Chau-Ji personal GuZhen concert. During 2000-2004, served as the judge of the R.O.C. Chinese Music Academic Association Chinese Music Contest for many times .Studied the guzheng music just about 20 yearses. Also research in guzheng manufacture, repair and timbre improvement recently.

◎Ms. Lydia Huang

　Huang was born in 1976 in Taipei. She started to play Zheng since 1995 under the instruction of Chao-Chi Lu (1955-2004). In 1998 she became a graduate student, and participated in National Taiwan University Chinese Orchestra, NTUCO, as a Zheng performer in the same year. Studying in NTU, in the meanwhile, she also performed and frequently took part in activities to promote Chinese music. In 2000, she joined the Little Giant Chinese Chamber Orchestra as a Zheng performer and administrative personnel. In 2001, she got the master degree of science from the Institute of Plant Pathology of NTU.

　With great passion of Chinese music, she invested in performance and promoting of Chinese music till now. During these years, she frequently performs at the National Concert Hall, Recital Hall, and Chung-Shan Hall, and in 2003, she went America and Canada to give a Zheng solo in the 50th anniversary concert of NTUCO as an alumnus.

　She is now the publicity and education manager, as well as a Zheng perfomer of “Little Giant Chinese Chamber Orchestra (gCO).

◎Ms. Lin Li-Shiuan
